Marcelo Lamarca was born in 1979 in Rio de Janeiro and showed an interest in art as a child. He built his repertoire and style, influenced by various forms of expression, such as visual arts, photography and music, in addition to a genuine appreciation of the forms of nature.
Fluid lines and vibrant colors are striking features of his works, which do not seek to simply portray nature; they reimagine its forms, cycles and energy. Plants, animals and fantasy beings are born from an intuition that moves towards what is essential and eternal. These symbols represent more than what we can see: they are metaphors of transformation, growth and the interconnection that sustains us.
Graduated in Graphic Design with an emphasis on Marketing and Visual Communication from ESPM, he combined his production in the studio with the development of visual projects for important architecture firms and major brands in the market. His portfolio also includes a special live painting performance at the UN in Geneva, exhibitions of his works in galleries and relevant cultural spaces, such as Laurent Marthaler Contemporary, Casa França-Brasil, Museu de Arte Urbana do Porto, as well as active participation in sociocultural projects.
